What is saved
Only when you choose to save: journal entries are stored with your signed-in account so they can follow you across devices. A homepage reflection and private commitment remain in this browser’s local storage. Unsaved journal drafts stay only in the current page’s memory.
What this app does not do with your writing
The journal does not automatically send your writing to an AI model, publish it, or share it with other app users. An entry enters an AI conversation only when you deliberately choose Ask Digital Rose. Each account can read, change, and delete only its own journal entries.
Private does not mean end-to-end encrypted
Account access protects your journal from other app users, but entries are not end-to-end encrypted with a key only you hold. Do not save information that requires specialized secure storage.
Backups and devices
Signed-in journal entries sync across devices. You can also export a backup file to keep privately. Browser-only homepage reflections and commitments do not sync and may be lost if browser data is cleared.
Exports and deletion
Exports create files on your device. Deleting an account entry does not remove files you exported or copies you shared. You can delete one journal entry or all journal entries through the journal’s confirmation steps.
Hosting and external services
Base44 supplies the website infrastructure. Hosting, security, the editor, and external links may process technical information under their own policies. The statement about not sending journal text describes this app’s feature code; it is not a guarantee that visiting a website creates no network requests or infrastructure logs.
